Beef Korma

Rich, creamy and flavorful curry made with beef, cashews, coconut and spices.

A family favourite! Can be made with mutton or chicken too.

Mumzkitchen Cooking Steps

  1. First part: Mix 1 kg cubed beef, salt to taste, ½ tsp turmeric powder, ½ tsp pepper powder, 1 finely sliced ginger and few curry leaves in a pressure cooker with 1 cup water. Cook in medium flame for 20mins. Keep aside. 

  2. Second part: Heat 2 tbsp oil in a cooking pot. Medium flame. Add 2 thinly sliced onion and saute until translucent. Add 10 cashews and saute. Grind when cool with 1 cup coconut milk. Keep aside.

  3. Third part: Use same cooking pot. Heat 4 tbsp oil. Low flame. Add ½ tsp cumin seed, 2 green chilli, 1 tbsp ginger & garlic paste, 1 tbsp coriander powder and 1 tsp garam masala powder. Saute until aromatic. Add first and second part mixtures to this. Boil for 5 mins.

  4. Garnish with coriander leaves.
